How to get paying coaching clients
As a coach looking for paid clients, I would say put yourself out there. Allow people to see who you are and what you care about. Be your authentic self and you will find your tribe of clients. Be willing to draw boundaries and know what lines you will not cross. Give people a taste of who you are.
One of the simple but effective ways to do this is to ensure you have some video content available online. If someone is going through your profile and wants to get a sense of who you are and what you care about, hearing from you via a short video is a really powerful way to help them get a sense if they connect with you.
What are the three really simple things that I believe are a must-do to get those paid coaching clients knocking on your door?
-
Get your website up and running. As word of mouth grows and your clients (even the pro-bono ones) start talking about you and recommending you, make it easy for them to send clients your way. The website becomes a gate way for people to find you and also find out about who you are and what you care about.
-
Have a menu card ready. This answers the question of how do I work with you and what are your fees? If you can say, I have 3 packages on offer… the first one is... the second is… and the third is…. Let me know which one you prefer, then it's easy for your clients to decide.

Hold your price point. There is no right or wrong pricing strategy, except possibly an indecisive one. Stop second-guessing yourself. Trust the process of coaching to deliver value and trust yourself. Decide on what your time is worth and then ask for that fee with courage and confidence.
